Benzema’s Fiery Ballon d’Or Response to Ronaldo for Choosing Mbappe!

Karim Benzema responded to Ronaldo on social media after the Portuguese star chose Kylian Mbappe over him. During a “better player” challenge on his YouTube channel, Ronaldo opted for Real Madrid’s new signing Mbappe instead of his former teammate Benzema.

The French forward replied by showcasing his 2022 Ballon d’Or trophy in his latest Instagram post, delivering an unforgettable message to Ronaldo. Mbappe has yet to win the prestigious award but is on the shortlist for this year’s prize.

Benzema emphasized this very point.

Benzema and Ronaldo both signed with Real Madrid in 2009 and, before Ronaldo’s move to Juventus, the duo won several titles together, including two La Liga titles and four Champions League trophies. Benzema continued to shine at Real Madrid even after Ronaldo’s departure and went on to win the Ballon d’Or. Both players now star in the Saudi Pro League, with Benzema playing for Al-Ittihad and Ronaldo for Al-Nassr.

Ronaldo also stated that Mbappe could “do well” at Madrid and potentially win the Ballon d’Or at Santiago Bernabeu. On his YouTube channel, he expressed:

“I think he will do well because of the club’s structure… It’s good, solid. They have a great coach and a president who has been there for many years. I don’t think it will be a big problem because of his talent. He has shown what he can do. I think he could be the next Ballon d’Or winner. Him, [Erling] Haaland, [Jude] Bellingham, Lamine [Yamal]. I think there is a lot of potential in this new generation.”

All three players will return to their club teams this weekend after the recent international break. Benzema and Ronaldo are set to face off in the Saudi Pro League in December.
