Icardi Enters Galatasaray History

Mauro Icardi made history in Galatasaray’s match against Antalyaspor by scoring twice, becoming the fastest foreign player to reach 50 goals in the Süper Lig with the club.

In the 9th week of the Trendyol Süper Lig, Galatasaray faced Antalyaspor away at Corendon Airlines Stadium. Icardi found the back of the net in the 10th and 52nd minutes, marking a historic moment.

ICARDI MAKES GALATASARAY HISTORY

With 51 goals in the Süper Lig, Icardi became the second-fastest foreign player to reach 50 goals for Galatasaray, trailing only club legend Gheorghe Hagi. The 31-year-old striker achieved this milestone in just 64 league appearances.

In his Galatasaray career, Icardi has scored a total of 60 goals, making him the 10th highest goal scorer in the club’s history. He surpassed another club legend, Selçuk İnan, in the all-time goal tally.
