Riva’s Great Summit: First Statement from Ibrahim Haciosmanoglu After the Meeting

Turkish Football Federation President Ibrahim Haciosmanoglu stated that the meeting with the presidents of the four big clubs was productive. Haciosmanoglu said, “We will be rivals this weekend, but after the matches, we are partners. I thank my valuable presidents. It is our duty to spread the atmosphere of brotherhood to every aspect of Turkish football. We believe we will succeed.”

Ibrahim Haciosmanoglu met with the presidents of the Super League Clubs Union and Fenerbahce Club President Ali Koc, Galatasaray Club President Dursun Ozbek, Trabzonspor Club President Ertugrul Dogan, and Besiktas Club President Hasan Arat at the TFF’s facilities in Riva. After the approximately two-hour meeting, Haciosmanoglu faced the press alongside the presidents of the four big clubs and stated that they have a responsibility to raise the brand value of the country’s football to where it deserves.

Haciosmanoglu commented on the meeting, saying, “It is everyone’s responsibility to raise the brand value of football to where it belongs. We will include the Anatolian clubs in our meetings, which we held with a narrow scope. Our Anatolian clubs are important to us. There are significant issues in football. We will overcome these through consultation. This awareness exists within all of us. We must advance the brand value. It is our primary duty to elevate the atmosphere of brotherhood in football.”

Haciosmanoglu also added, “We had a very nice meeting. We will make this a regular occurrence. Our Besiktas Club president kindly suggested that we hold the first meeting at Besiktas. We will go to all clubs at their invitation. We will spread this to Anatolia. ‘Yes, we are rivals on the field.’ This awareness also exists among our valuable presidents. We will be rivals this weekend, but after the matches, we are partners. I thank my valuable presidents. It is our duty to spread the atmosphere of brotherhood to every aspect of Turkish football. We believe we will succeed.”
