Francesco Bagnaia Wins Japan Grand Prix, Cuts Gap to 10 Points with 4 Races Left

In the 16th round of the MotoGP World Championship, Francesco Bagnaia, the Italian rider of the Ducati Lenovo team, took first place at the Japan Grand Prix. The season’s 16th race was held at the Mobility Resort Motegi Circuit in Japan, covering a distance of 24 laps.

GAP REDUCED TO 10 POINTS

With this victory, Bagnaia reduced the gap to 10 points between himself and the championship leader, Jorge Martin, with four races remaining in the season. Martin, the Spanish rider for the Prima Pramac team, finished second, 1.189 seconds behind the leader. Spanish rider Marc Marquez from the Gresini team came in third, finishing 3.822 seconds behind.

The 17th race of the season, the Australian Grand Prix, will take place on October 20.
