Nicolas Jackson Cleared of Punishment

The Chelsea attacker Nicolas Jackson will not be subject to retroactive punishment for his involvement in a violent fight during Sunday’s 1-1 draw with Nottingham Forest. Jackson was seen slapping Forest defender Morato during a fight between players from both clubs, hence the FA confirmed he will not be prosecuted.

The fight started when Nottingham Forest defender Neco Williams aggressively shoved Marc Cucurella into Chelsea head coach Enzo Maresca, causing mayhem on the touchline. Jackson lost control and seemed to slap Morato as tempers flared, but following a VAR review it was decided there was insufficient evidence to define his acts as aggressive behavior.

FA’s Choices

After the review, the FA decided not to take any more action against Jackson, so the striker won not be subject to any other disciplinary action including ban.

This choice closes the issue and lets Jackson stay free for Chelsea’s next games without worrying about repercussions for the occurrence.
