FERRARI: “WE HAVE THE MOTIVATION WE NEED FOR THE MEXICO GP.”
After the United States Grand Prix, Ferrari is currently 8 points behind Red Bull and 40 points behind leader McLaren in the championship standings. Team principal Fred Vasseur believes the team has the motivation it needs following the weekend in Austin.
“After achieving the top two positions in Austin, we arrived in Mexico motivated, which has been a great source of motivation for the entire team.”
“The Hermanos Rodriguez circuit presents a completely different challenge. Being at an altitude of 2200 meters above sea level in Mexico City requires a unique approach to the setup window.”
“This situation puts extra pressure on the components that need to dissipate heat; namely, the systems, brakes, power unit, and of course, the tires.”
“Finding the balance to cope with this while extracting maximum performance from the car isn’t easy, but we’ve prepared well for it at the factory.”
Vasseur expects another close battle in Mexico this weekend.
“Our approach to this race will be the same as the others; we will focus on ourselves and pay attention to the details.”
“As always, I expect a very close competition among the leading teams.”
