Man Utd’s Leny Yoro Shares What Fans Can Expect From Him After Injury Comeback

Leny Yoro, Manchester United’s summer signing, has opened up about what the club’s fans can expect from him when he finally makes his debut. Yoro, who joined the Red Devils in a highly anticipated £52 million ($68m) transfer, has yet to take the field due to a foot injury sustained in pre-season, which required surgery and sidelined him for three months.

Speaking to TNT Sports, Yoro revealed what he aims to bring to Manchester United: “I try to be intelligent on the pitch. To play with my head, to understand the game, the opponents, and to be calm. To be calm with the ball when I defend.” The 18-year-old French defender is known for his composed style of play and his ability to read the game, traits he hopes will make him a standout in United’s backline once he’s fit.

Why He Chose United

Yoro also spoke about his decision to join Manchester United, despite interest from other top clubs like Real Madrid: “For me, Man United is the biggest in the world. To play for Man United is… even when I was young, the players that were here, the history, the fans. Everything is big here.” His admiration for the club’s rich history and global status played a major role in his choice to sign with the Red Devils.
